Covering a broad range of technologies and modalities, SyNergy’s Technology Hubs offer expertise in advanced omics, imaging, human disease models, and clinical and translational research. The showcase event highlighted how these complementary capabilities can help researchers integrate different methods and approaches to investigate neurological diseases across multiple scales.
Organized by Dr. Aditi Methi, SyNergy’s data manager, with support from the hub teams, the program opened with an introduction to the hub initiative by Prof. Dr. Thomas Misgeld, one of SyNergy’s spokespersons. This was followed by a series of lightning talks by respective hub coordinators explaining areas of expertise of each hub, along with the technologies and support they offer. Participants then explored the facilities throughout the day via guided hub visits and a workshop, and engaged directly with hub teams at dedicated booths, discussing individual projects and potential collaborative ideas.
The scientific talk session included presentations by Prof. Dr. Matthias Brendel, Sophie Kratzert, and Prof. Dr. Mikael Simons, that showcased how hub expertise contributes to ongoing research projects. The program also featured an industry perspective, with 10x Genomics participating in the event through a short talk and dedicated booth where attendees could learn more about emerging technologies and applications in spatial omics research.
Beyond showcasing technical capabilities, the SyNergy Tech Hub Day created space for meaningful exchange between researchers and technical experts. Discussions throughout the day generated numerous ideas for potential collaborations, highlighting opportunities to connect expertise across the SyNergy network and develop new approaches to shared scientific challenges in systems neurology research.
