SyNergy receives funding for a third funding period: 2026-2032

On 22 May the DFG announced its decision for the next round of funding for Clusters of Excellence, and SyNergy has successfully made it to a third round.

SyNergy has been a Cluster of Excellence since 2012, in 2019 we entered our second funding phase, and now we are proud to announce that we will progress to the third round of funding. “Our approach to systems neurology, as reflected in our name SyNergy, was new in 2012. Now, after 14 years of research within our cluster, it has become an integral part of our methodology as researchers. We are therefore pleased to continue on this path,” reflects Thomas Misgeld, speaker of the Cluster and director at the TUM Institute of Neuronal Cell Biology. Christian Haass, speaker of the Cluster and head of the Chair of Metabolic Biochemistry at the LMU Munich, agrees: “This third round of funding is not only a significant achievement for our entire team, but it also reaffirms the impact of our research and the success of our interdisciplinary approach.”
