Press Release: SyNergy partners with Pint of Science to bring science to the public

May 23, 2016 - SyNergy partnered with Pint of Science to support two talks on neural networks and memory. TUM Professor Patrick van der Smagt spoke about improving machine learning and how the brain codes movement. LMU professor and SyNergy member Anton Sirota discussed memory and space representation in the brain. Pint of Science is a non-profit organization that brings the latest in scientific research to the public in an accessible format. Pint of Science organizes an annual three-day festival that takes place in cities across the world and that fosters conversation between scientists and the public. 2016 is the first year that Munich has participated in this worldwide event.
